Afro SKA kings THE RUDIMENTALS have signed to Moon Ska World. The South African Ska legends will see their debut album "More Fire" released in the next few months. Who would have thought the skanking sounds born in Jamaica would be reborn in Africa into the sounds of Afro Ska from the steaming hot streets of Cape Town.

DUB CITY ROCKERS member and producer (and general all round madman) Frantic jets out to Jamaica next week to put the finishing touches to the eagerly awaited debut album from this UK/JA Ska-Reggae collective. Whilst out there Frantic will also be recording tracks for DCR JA members Dedan and Shuw Pow's side project DEM JAMAICAN BOUYS... what the rest of Jamaica will make of Frantic is anyone's guess, especially the Dedan's mother, the legendary JA character Vetrice (aka "Dub City Mama") who has made the brave decision to put Frantic up on his JA jaunt remains to be seen!
CHRIS MURRAY EUROPEAN BOUND!
The legendary one man Ska-Reggae show that is CHRIS MURRAY, will be leaving the sunny climes of LA to return to Europe in the next couple of months... more details to follow shortly. SKA PLAY SHOWCASES IN LONDON
SKA BA DAY, a musical musical developed by Talawa Theatre Company and written by Pat Cumper, with music by Delroy Murray and directed by Ben Thomas showcases for for two nights in February (Weds 8th and Thurs 9th) at the Greenwich Theatre. Set in the present, Ska Ba Day tells the story of Richie and Vince, two rabble-rousers from a rough city estate... faced with the prospect of teaming up with their local bad man Boogs, but decide instead on a life devoted to ’Ska’. As they travel back 50 years to Kingston, Jamaica, the magic rhythms of the Caribbean reveal their chance to change... but Boogs has other ideas and a battle of music and minds begin!

RHODA DAKAR SIGNS TO MOON SKA!
The legend that is RHODA DAKAR, has signed to Moon Ska World. Her new album "Cleaning In Another Woman's Kitchen" will be released in the near future. RHODA, an accomplished lyricist and songwriter, who fronted the all girl 2-Tone band THE BODYSNATCHERS before joining THE SPECIAL AKA, and performing on hits like "Free Nelson Mandela", and "The Boiler" has recorded an acoustic album with Ska face NICKY WELSH (formerly of THE SELECTER and BAD MANNERS) and now of the SKAVILLE UK. Rhoda will be appearing on British TV this Friday (February 9th) on the excellent BBC Four "Soul Britannia" documentary series talking about 2-Tone, The Specials and the SPECIAL AKA in her favourite red Aggrolites shirt! Expect footage of The Bodysnatchers performing "007" and Top Of the Pops performances of "Ghost Town" and "Free Nelson Mandela".

America's successful SKA BRAWL tour hits Europe for the first time in 2007 with headliners - Godfathers of the American Ska scene THE TOASTERS and new Moon Ska World signings Hawaii's top Ska-Rocksteady act GO JIMMY GO who will be performing tracks from their debut Moon Ska release "The Girl With The Fishbowl Eyes" which although not yet in the shops will be available from the band on tour from Monday 12th February!
